We Are Not Tied Down By Time, a student-authored publication, explores three types of poetry and themes: found poetry describing a childhood memory or an imaginary time capsule; haikus celebrating current obsessions and loves; and narrative poetry mapping visions for the future.
This book is the result of 826LA’s third partnership with Franklin Dual Language Academy where the middle school authors spent a week writing and crafting their poems for publication. We invite you to read their work, and as you do, discover where the students have been, where they are, and where they are going.
