In What Are You? I Have Forgotten!, 826LA students go down memory lane to rediscover memories and create shapes to honor the things they hold dear.
These poems are beyond shapes—they illustrate a connection that students have with everyday objects, their favorite TV show, that one song they can’t get out of their heads, and a delicious slice of pepperoni pizza. With shape poetry, our students feel free to express their feelings through words and drawings without being confined within traditional norms. In this collection, students make their own rules and write poems the way they see them and become poets on their own terms.
